My father often spoke of Jim Braddock as a hero to the Irish of America and those who suffered in the Depression. And Jim is still an inspiration because he was trully a great person. Special thanks to the Braddock family for sharing your love and such a magnificent father.

Loved the movie, loved the man. Talk about a true American and a great fighter. He fought for his family, he fought for his pride and he fought for his country. He persevered through the lowest of lows. I, myself, am unemployed now with little money and large debt. I hope I can use Jim's memory to get me through this tough time.

I was very inspired after watching the movie seeing a man and his family go through such hard times and perservering through it. I was extremely impressed with the fact that he beat a guy on an empty stomach...wow! Talk about dedication! My hats off to Mr Braddock and his family and relatives and anyone who has been associated with him. A true inspirational hero to all!

Wow what can i say. this movie is sooo amazing and so inspirational its mind blowing. im a rising senior in High school and my junior year we learned about the great depresion etc and i though to myself that must have been a bad time to live in but knind of blew it off. that was untill i saw Cinderella Man. this movie gives the perfect picture of how hard it was for poor people and all people in general during the great depression. James J Braddock is such an inspiration to me because this movie showed me that if he can accomplish his goals durign one of the darkest hours in america, then i can do it too. Exspecially for the poor people of americ because i dont have much so i just kinda live by my hopes dreams and wishes and i absolutley love this movie and will watch it over and over again James J Braddock u totally rock!

We are looking for role models and heroes in everyday life, bling wearing athletes, selfish recording artists, etc.. but here from the greatest generation we find another example of an american success story. I only can hope that enough young people view this film and read along at the end, the further accomplisments Mr. Braddock acheived during the rest of his remarkable life. Jim Braddock is truley a role model and a hero for all to admire and emulate in their own heavyweight bout with life.

I have watched the movies 4 times now and Jim Braddock was one heck of a guy - he understood what he was meant to do - provide for his family and he did that. The best part of the movie (and I assume it happened in real life) was when he returned the government assistance back to the agency..... what a moving moment in the picture and what people SHOULD be like.

I'm a true blue boxing fan and I saw Cinderella man at movies and loved it . Have since bought the dvd of it and already have watched 4 times. JJB has the heart , guts & determination of " a rocky balboa " in the ring and the honest loving father to his children and husband to his wife out of the ring . What he acheived to get to fight Baer was magnificent and unique in boxing history . Fan bloody tastic !!!

I finished watching Cinderalla Man and the thing that floored me about the movie was that he bought a construction company and helped build the Verazanno Bridge. I used to LIVE on Staten Island and used that bridge everyday. Thank you Cinderalla Man for not only inspiring dreamers but building bridges so we can all stay connnected.

Watched the DVD last night for the first time, when they started to go on about Max Baer killing men in the ring I had to google your Grandad just to make sure he made it through the fight! What an awesome guy and with such a strong and loving family! God bless from New Zealand.
