Hi, my name is Omar Dogrul and I am a amateur boxer with 33 fights (30 ko's, 3 decision wins) on my name. I am now 24 years old and I recently stopped fighting because of the birh from my child. I just want to say that besides Muhammad Ali, mister Braddock was my inspiration to start boxing. But I am not as courageous as he was so I quit. That man was not only a boxing hero, he also was a hero as a man and human. I deeply respect him and may God be mercyfull upon him!!

Long time i really wanted to watch Cinderella Man. How Russel Crowe portrayed James Braddock made me pause the movie for a while and read Braddock's autobiography. Working abroad for 5 years to earn money for my family back home touched my heart on all the hardships that James had to overcome. Thanks for the inspiration.

I watched the movie for the first time yesterday....it was quite inspiring to see how he loved his family and how he conducted himself during bad times. He is definitely a man of great character and passion. The adage holds true for him,'Tough times do not last, tough men do'. Well his wife was also a great lady to be by his side and believing in him. And with his manager they became a deadly combo. A truly inspiring story.

james j braddock. I knew his record but never his story till i seen the movie. and what a real man. His family was first. He used the best tools he owned in life to put milk on his kids table.Even when them tools were broken and sore. God only knows what went through his mind when in the ring and hands broken, what he was going to do the pain he put himself through I don,t think he thought of himself only his kids & wife.
It would have being a great honour to shake that mans hand. a true gladiator.

One of my all-time favorite movies....I never get tired of watching this. ... Based on a true story about a man of honor, Jimmy Braddock, fighting for food on the table during the Great Depression .... "YOU CAN DO IT JIMMY"
James never gave up, he wanted his family together, he worked thorough pain for his family, and that is true passion and devotion

My husband and I watched Cinderella Man again last night. I've lost count!! It's by far one of our favorites! What an amazing story and amazing husband, father, and boxer. Such an inspiration!! Of course, I bawled like a baby...such an emotional movie :)

Just watched the movie Cinderella Man for the first time. My son has been telling me for a long time it is the greatest boxing movie ever. He's right! Truly a feel good story, your dad was an amazing person!!

Thanks for having this forum. Everyday, I watch the movie. Mr. Braddock is a true legend, and a true champion of heart, spirit, and determination. He instills so much inspiration even today. God Bless his family, and my admiration for the champ increases everyday.
