Along with Jack Dempsey, James Braddock was my dad's favourite all-time heavyweight champion. My Dad died back in January 05 but I will always remember him talking about how wonderful and what an inspiration James Braddock was to everyone.

I was so impressed with the film today I wanted to do some research on the great man. What a fantastic website. You've done yourselves and family proud.

I watched the film last night ,fantastic.
What a man James Braddock was, a role model for anyone.I will now be buying his biography to learn more about this remarkable man. Thankyou James Braddock for teaching me something very important.

Just having seen the movie, it is men like Jim that we would all aspire to be. Quite an incredible story of faith, love and family. In the dark days of the depression it would have been easy to give up, but Jim refused and quite simply made the world a better place.
Hero is a word used all too frequently these days, it is a word that should be reserved for people like James J Braddock.

Watched the movie twice in a week. Braddock is the role model for all of us. Good movie, good actors and toching story.

We saw Cinderella Man this evening and it is fantastic-James is really a hero and we are sure that he also was in real life.

a wonderful movie i have been inspired by jim and am taking up boxing i loved the film he was a very interresting and nice man especially helping with the war and the bridge when he was a such an age all the best to him r.i.p.

Just saw the movie, almost yelled "Bravo" and applauded at the cinema (but afraid that there was a referee inside to show me the RED card, didn't do that..what a shame).

I never knew anything about James J Braddock until my sister from America told me that he was my great great grandmothers nephew. My grandfather was also a fantastic boxer, fighting bare knuckle in the poverty streets of Denaby south Yorkshire. He was going to turn professional but was called into the army. In a way the film reminds me of my grandad as he loved his children too. The film was fantastic. I am going to try andfind out as much iformation as i can about him. Its a privilege to be a distant relative to the big man!!

I never knew JJ Braddock before in my life. But when I saw the movie today, I learned a lot from the champ, JJ Braddock, as a great family man. He was a great husband, a great father, a great friend, and a great man ! His life showed me that the great power comes from the great love inside our family. As a husband of my wife, Henny, and a father of 2 daughters (Gabby & Grace) and 1 son (Richie), I will try to do the same thing as he's done before. Thanks Champ !
