I am preciated who bring great story about James J Braddock which I never knews and great things about who play actor russell crowe and director ron howard , I can not wait till june 3 to see this movie whicih I been waitthing for long time. again, thank you for his life true story.

My whole family is basically from North Bergen, my grandfather grew up with James and his brother Joe. Joe was actually married to my great great aunt. Growing up my grandfather always told me stories of Braddock and now I'll be taking him to the movies to see it, take care.

I can't wait for the movie. Russell Crowe will do Mr. Braddock justice in the film. Grazer/Howard really know how to cast and direct a movie!!! Congratulations on this honor.

I just talked with an old fraternity brother (SAE) and nephew of James J Braddock, Tony Braddock, and he told me about the web site. Great! I look forward to the movie.

There was recently an article on James Braddock in our local paper, Times Union (2/26/05).
My paternal grandfather was cousins with James Braddock. I am trying to link the connection; my grandfather's name was Mary Mallon. I read a note about Helen Mallon; was Mary a sister also?

James J. Braddock is my great great uncle. Frances Braddock Bautz is my grandmother. I don't know too much about the Max Schmeling fight but I do know that I am related to him on my dad's side, kinda funny.

One of the seldom recognized role models of our time. I am proud of his accomplishments and proud to carry the family name.

Jim Braddock was a man to be admired, who gave the sport of boxing more dignity and respect, than otherwise possible.

Still interested in any information about Mr Braddock's relationship with J Edgar Hoover. I have a pair of embroidered gloves that the champ gave to the FBI director and recently found an identical pair in the J Edgar Hoover library. When and why did he present them to him? Any newspaper or photo references?

Congratulation on the site. I grew up in Nort Hudson yet I never knew who James Braddock was until I received the Spirit magazine from St. Joes HS WNY, where I read the article on JJB. Its nice to know that great people came out of WNY and St. Joe's. I cant wait for the movie !!

I am James Braddock's great niece. While growing up, I heard a lot of stories about the "Braddock boys" including my grandfather, Leslie and his brother James. For many years, his accomplishments were reflected only in Guiness Book of World Records. It's about time that James is recognized for his accomplished career. Way to go, James!

My mom told me that a movie was coming out about her uncle and i got interested. im only 18 but ive seen all his pictures and heard lots of stories about him. My mom is Pat and My grandmother is Eleanor Fox From His Wife Mae's side. I cant wait to go see it!!

My family lived in Forked River and we were friends with Timmy...we knew that his Grandfather was James Braddock...Paulette (my daughter) and I saw the previews of the movie I was very excited and since then Paulette found out that a lot of the family were in Canada for the filming...I am glad they were involved

My grandfather talked alot about the Braddock fight with Max Baer. He was there when they fought. It was such a rush to watch Braddock win, my grandfather would say everytime we talked about boxing. God bless the Braddock Family. Aloha, Joe

While growing up in the S.F. Bay area during the 1950's and participating in CYO sports, Jim Braddock was often mentioned as having been a highly-esteemed person, who never gave up. I am sure that the movie will serve well to exemplify his many virtues.

I never had the pleasure of meeting James Braddock but my grandfather Lud Shabazian who wrote Relief to Royalty would tell me wonderful stories about him. I beleive that writing that book was one of the finest memories of his professional life. I plan on passing it down to my children one day and also look forward to seeing the movie about his life.

I grew up with Jack and Mae watching a group of us boy play football on Park ave in front of their House. I live across the street from the Jame J Braddock Park. My friends and I will be very interested in finding about the legend.
