No words to describe James, he is a inspiration, a great father, so, a great man. Realmente um grande pai.

A superb portrayal of a man in a time when courage and honesty counted for something against near impossible odds - kudos to all concerned with the film, but especially - hats off to the man himself - a symbol to all of us and especially Americans - who apparently stayed away in droves because the the subject matter was a little tough for a society that fawns over people as media-driven and as inconsequential as Oprah (fooey!) Winfrey...

This was the type of inspiration I needed right now. Thanks Jim thanks Ron. P

James Braddock .. not only a great boxer/fighter but also a man of integrity, good father and husband. He demonstrated that nothing is impossible when you're determined to succeed.

An absolute inspiration! Words can't describe a man as honourable as him and I shall strive to reach his integrity.

Truly a great guy. He made a promise to his son and he intend to keep it.

I saw the movie yesterday and I have not stopped thinking about it since. What an amazing man - his ethics and his love for his family are to be greatly admired. Russell Crowe captured the essence of Jim Braddock so well, as did Renee Zellwegger as Mae. Boxing is such a tough way to make a living but Jim Braddock rose above that and lived his life by his rules. Bravo.

It's a story of courage and principle. A glowing example what a man can do even in his darkest time. A good example even at this modern world of ours how to be humble, honest, persistent and to emphasize the true essence of family values. Mabuhay.

What a man, what a great heart, my family watched the movie and where inspired by this big man with a big heart. Where are all the men like this today. I will watch the movie again and cry. Russell Crowe was brillant in his role of James J Braddock, he to should be a proud Kiwi (He was born in New Zealand)

we watched the movie.it was wonderful, the character and the courage of Braddock deeply impressed us. This is a wonderful site.

I watched the film with my son and mother. We saw the power of love and determination in this film and both of us impressed too much. Exactly I can watch this film one more time..

Before seeing the film, I too had not heard of James J Braddock but both my wife and I have to say that his story, his courage and his belief in himself and love for his family are totally inspirational. James J wass simply a Great human being. The film is superb and this website is an excellent source for anyone interested in finding out more about the great man himself.

I watched the movie with my husband last night. We were inspired by his love to his family and to the game itself. The movie was great I just never stopped crying.

I've never heard about him in the boxing scene but I am familiar with Joe Louis. Friends just told me to watch this film and they were right this man was principled man in times of plenty and in times of scarcity. A family man to be admired and imitated in today's modern world...

More than a movie, it seemed like a documentary with feeling.

I have just seen "The Cinderella Man" movie and was in awe of the courage, spirit, humanity and dignity of James J Braddock. I had briefly heard of his story beforehand but was uplifted, as I am sure many Depression era Americans were, with his inspirational story and the very decent qualities of James and his wife Mae. If only more people in our world today would learn a timely lesson about timeless principles that will hopefully endure - it is time for a new generation to learn more about the outstanding decent qualities of men and women like James J. and Mae Braddock.

Just watched the movie with my wife tonight. I was as much moved and inspired by his love of his family as I was by his sheer courage in the ring. Truly great man. Irish blood too. Excellent and informative website.
