James J. Braddock - Guestbook
Welcome to the official guestbook of the James J Braddock website. Due to spam, we have been forced stop guestbook entries.
My 8 hour flight home from Germany was delightful only because I saw "The Cinderella Man". Thanks to Ron Howard for bringing this story to the masses, JJB for the inspiration and his family for keeping the legacy alive. Let's pray that this real-life example of overcoming hardship through moral fortitude and relentless determination inspires fathers everywhere and in perpetuity to do the same. If so, the world will be a much better place.

Well I just wanted to say that Cinderella Man is hands down the best movie I've ever seen in my entire life! The whole Jimmy Braddock story is truly amazing and inspiring. The scenes of joy after he beat Max Baer were so overwhelming and inspiring that it forced me to tears! It's not often that a movie forces a man to tears either! But, the story of Jimmy Braddock is truly inspirational - it helped me conquer my Year 12 exams this year, and I'm sure it will live with me for the rest of my life!

It is always fun to root for the underdog and gratifying when they win or perform well. There's no shame in not beating Joe Louis. This is a very nice site.

After watching the movie I have simply been left moved and inspired by James Braddock's truly remarkable story. His story is an inspiration to everyone who in their life has ever felt like an underdog or ever felt that the situation is always against them and that their backs are against the wall. James's meteoric rise to glory will always remain a testament to the spirit of all me and women everywhere and shows us that even the impossible can be achieved.
It is through every underdog and everyone of his admirers that the spirit and legend of James J Braddock will out live us all.
He may not be the greatest boxer in technical terms but his undying passion makes him one of the greatest characters and certainly deserves to be spoken of in the same vein as Muhammad Ali.

Im not a huge fan of boxing but i am a huge fan of a person that never gives up, loves their family and carries on when others would fall away.
THe will to win, the strength to push on & be able to swallow your pride; if only all people( not just pro athletes) had these traights.
James J BRAddock (Cinderalla Man) your life story inspired me & I can only hope I and others can handle adversity, hardship, life as strong willed as you did.

What a great man James Braddock was. He showed us how we all should aspire to live our lives... with honour, pride, hope, respect, and love. As soon as I finished watching the film, with tears in my eyes I held my son and hugged him tight. I hope I can be half the husband and father James was. God bless you JJB.

We have just seen "Cinderella man" and we are both very touched by the movie. But mostly, of course, by the fact that the story is true!
James seems to have been a wonderful person and we are truly grateful that "Cinderella man" became a movie!!!
Thank you!

Its funny that sometimes you are watching a (great) movie and you think to youself, unbelieveble...imagine if this is based on a true story... Then again, it has to be true cause not even Ron Howard could come up with such a script...
Its a shame people dont know a third of the heroes now or in the past. But thank God for directors who make these great movies to honor those heroes and teach the world about their amazing life.......

I just finished watching the movie and what a great man he must of been. The part where he went and got the kids after Mae had taken them to live elsewhere was very touching. Even during the hard times, Mr. Braddock kept his family together. He was a champion for the common man and during those times I can only imagine it was good to have a role model and Mr. Braddock fit that to a "T". Great story.

James J. Braddock was, without any doubts, one of the greatest champions in the history of boxing and a rolemodel for any of us. His life story is more inspirational than anything I have ever heard so far. I can only hope that I can be as good and devoted as a father and as a family man as he was. Thank you for the inspiration mister James J. Braddock!
