I just watched the movie Cinderella Man and My wife and I were deeply moved by the story behind the success of Jim Braddock as a boxer. I am an avid boxing fan and movies depicting the stories of boxers , especially their personal struggles, their families,and their loved ones make their life more interesting, more humane and more worth matching on the big screen. God bless Jim Braddock

I just wanted to say that Mr. Braddock is an idol to me. He and his whole family earns my respect.

I enjoyed the movie very much. I know being in the boxing world myself its not easy to be down and pull yourself up again he did it but what is more important that he did it with dignity and with strong values .I hope more than one boxer these days learns from the movie. What a shame he wasnt alive to recieve his induction to the hall of fame and to see this movie he left us a great gift to learn from never give up never doesnt matter what are the odds against you .Many boxers come from tough neighboorhoods and probably have starved for more than one day at a time what makes a real champion is getting up from that slump and staying allways inspired day in and day out to be a winner

I just saw the film last week and the story of J. Braddock has stuck to my mind and serves as an inspiation to me and my family. God has given us abilities of our own that we can use to help us get up on our feet no matter how many times we are struck down. Ron Howard, thanks for telling us this story. Nowadays, people need inspiring stories like this to help them get back up on their feet. To Russel Crowe and Renee Zelleweger, thanks for the great performance (as always) you both made in this movie and your past films as well. To the Braddock family, thanks for sharing this story with us. Your grandfather was a great, inspiring and honorable man. May God bless you all.

I saw the movie , and let me tell you something, Rusell was a great actor in the movie, i love this movie it�s the best of the 2005 and , change a lot of thing�s in my mine, i�ve never forget this movie never, behind the rocky its one of the best movies ive never saw.,Thanks James Braddock and thanks Rusell. I have not long returned from watching the movie with my 8 year old son and we were on the edge of our seats. My son was watching the final fight through his fingers. We were so involved we was at ring side and it was 1935 or so it seemed. What an amazing story and so inspireing for a young man to watch.

I couldn't help it, I cheered for Russel Crowe in 'Cinderella Man'! The last fight, I was so tense, when he delivered the last, magical blow, the blow for his family, the blow for America, the blow against the 'bad guys' for the 'good guys', I stood up and punched the air.

You get so involved and you can't even help it.

He showed such devotion in the ring and out, to his family, wife, children, and to his trainer and co-workers. He's become my idol, since he stands up and fights for what he belives in.

He didn't just win the title. He won for what he believed in. Your with him all the way! Hands down and hats up for James J. Braddock!

A perfect rags to riches story! The kind that inspires, moves and involves anyone, any age. 'Cinderella Man' does justice to what Braddock fought for all his life. The sheer strength of his heart and his fists made him a perfect hero in the ring and out.
What can I say? James J. Braddock really is Cinderella Man.

The movie made me realize that Jim Braddock had a powerful soul, he had absolute control over himself. Such a man knows what to do and when to do...This was his greatest strength in life and in the ring...

I saw the movie last weekend. I impressed so much about Braddock's story. I understood that he was a honest people, good father and successful boxer. I want to find something more about him. I saw nice pictures on this site.

I saw the movie this weekend that just passed and I cheered for Jim (Russell Crowe) like I was at the ringside. My fianc�e nursed bruises on his right arm as I threw punches while cheering in the movie house, plus scratches out of my squeezing his hand so tightly during the fight scenes. Overall, the movie moved me emotionally. I broke into tears intermittently especially during the Braddock family�s hard times when, as a responsible and loving father, he chose not to give up hope even if it meant swallowing his pride and seeking financial help from his former colleagues and fair-weather friends. I cried so hard watching that one teardrop fall from Jim�s (Crowe) eye the time he faced Joe Gould, his manager, who would complete $1+ that Jim needed to pay for past due electricity bills. In the same manner, I admire Mr. Gould for all the trust he had on Jim and the confidence and self-esteem he tried to engender in �The Cinderella Man�.

I thank Russell Crowe for giving justice to his role as James J. Braddock. I became an instant fan of both men from two different eras. I am so inspired by the fact that there is hope for those who will not give up. I also appreciate my parents more at present than ever before. I realize that even they, at one point in time in my ordinary life, did give up their share of bread or meat to feed my hungry stomach.

Thank you, Jimmy, for the renewed perspective I now have towards my family and myself. And thank you, Russell, for the movie because I never would have known my hero had it not for you. Godspeed!

Wonderful strong man and wonderful fighter, i'd love just to smell like him. I've been in a theater last night watching the movie and i'm still excited

A real Cinderella Man, not only because of the life he went through but the courage and hope he gave to his people. This man is a HERO!
