I have just come from the movies. I am really impressed by the film. Jim has the temper of an Irish man of those days. There is nothing more moving for me than a humble person struggling to get what he wants. If Jim could hear me up in heaven, (I am sure he can), I would ask him to send me the strength and courage he showed in his life. I have other love ones up in heaven, She had to struggle against Cancer. I hope they both can give me the strength I sometimes don´t have, and help me keep it when I have it, for good things of course, always for good things. God bless them both !

Great movie and i also recommend the book .James J Braddock is one of the greats in boxing and its good to see his story told at the movies.But just one problem with movie Max Bear wasnt all that bad in real life .He was one of the great characters in boxings history .Who also should be remembered as one of the greats of his time.

I have just been to see the film & wanted to say how inspirational it was. So much courage and pride!

I believe I have the ring bell from the fight with max baer. it was left in the basement of a house that braddock was suposed to have built and lived in,atlantic beach, in 1934. If anyone has knowledge about this -please call me at 516-220-3759. It was given to bradock after the fight.

i have just seen a cinderella man, and i just wanted to say how i was totally blown away by the devotion james j. braddock had for his family, the way he delt thourgh all the hardship of the depression was inspirational and he will always be known to me as a hero. i am so glad this movie was made so people can see just what this man was like!

Jim had courage that defined him. Moral courage.

I was very touched by the film.i enjoyed it very much.im sure you are a very great inspiration to many people.the messege in the film came across very clear.never stop trying and everyone gets a second chance.once you get a oppurtunity give it all you got.

Optimism, courage and honor. Ron Howard could not have choice a better example of true personal history to became into a inspiring blockbuster. Thank you Mr. Braddock for gave the humanity your example like family leader, sportsman and person.

I think i can for a lot of people when i say that the story and subsequent film of his life an absolute inspiration. Ive never heard of a story of any man so desperate when seemiblgy all is lost never give up and always saw the light at the end of the tunnel.His rise to the top can only serve as a reminder to us all what we can achieve. Inspirational is the only word to describe this man.

Wow! That film blew me away. The poverty was shocking - I have so much to be grateful for. Jim Braddock was truly an amazing man with a generous heart and tremendous spirit and determination. An inspiration to us all.

SAW THE MOVIE LAST NIGHT WHICH WAS GREAT.IT SHOWED THAT JAMES WAS A MAN WHO NEVER GAVE UP WHETHER IT WAS INSIDE THE RING OR TOWARDS HIS FAMILY.INSPIRING.

I saw the movie last night, thought it was exceptionally well made, from the bone crunching fight sequences to the touching family scenes. Russel Crowe, Renee Zellweger and Ron Howard have created an epic !!!

i saw cinderella man yesterday, the movie infused a new life in me. "jimmy" braddock is no doubt one of the best boxers ever existed, but also the way he lived his life was inspiring. he defines courage and optimism.

Great Jim.. a Man, a Legend, a Hope!

Just saw the movie 30 mins ago and was moved to see that nice guys dont always finish last As the father of 3 sons [all nice guys i might add] 2 of whom box [open class amateurs] .This is so heartwarming .Thankyou mr Braddock for continuing to be an inspiration to a whole new generation Great movie by the way.

I remember the Braddock/Baer fight well as I lived across the streeet from Baer's sister's home in Livermore, CA, as a boy of 8, at the time of the fight and saw him often before and after that fight, actually through the 1940's. I greatly enjoyed the movie and I'd like to correct the image the movie depicted of Max Baer. Max was definitely not the 'thug' depicted in the movie. He actually was a handsome, charming, happy-go-lucky dandy. He enjoyed the limelight, enjoyed the ladies, and his supporters believe he lost to Braddock largely because he was playing around with movie stars so much he didn't want to train. I understand that movie producers often distort history to spice up their films and realize Max was not the star of this film. I just wanted to correct the record for anyone who may care.

Wow!! What a inspiring Life of Mr.James J Braddock. I saw the Movie just 20 Minutes ago and came home to know more about this Inspiring Boxing Personality.I am amazed to read his Life story in this Website.

You Grand Children have done a Great Job.
